Wilderness Wood is a unique, award-winning working woodland. Here you can have lots of fun or find peace and quiet, learn about growing trees and using wood, buy garden furniture made from Sussex oak and chestnut, or simply come and have tea in relaxing surroundings.

One of Britain’s Ten Best Green Days Out (The Independent). There’s something for all ages at this unique working woodland park, eye-opening for adults and great fun for children.

Beautiful all year, with woodland trails, spring bluebell walk. Children love the playground, exploring and building camps. .

Opening information

The wood is open daily all the year round, from 10 am until 5.30pm or dusk if dusk is earlier. During December (Christmas tree time) we are open from 9am - 6pm, seven days a week.
