As made famous by Derren Brown in his channel 4 TV show 'The Experiments', the lucky dog turned Todmorden into the luckiest town in the UK.

The Lucky Dog was created as a quick life-size sketch carved from a block of expanded polystyrene. This was then cast directly into steel at the Todmorden foundry of Weir Minerals in a lost-wax type of process.

It was donated to Centre Vale Park in Todmorden, and is installed next to the Memorial Gardens, gazing at the tops of Widdop.

It has gained a wide-spread reputation for bringing good luck to anybody that gives it a friendly pat.
