A 'family-friendly museum' in a restored 15thC hall house with many new displays relating to the Amersham area.
Amersham Museum is in the old town of Amersham and is recognised as a 'family-friendly museum' with many displays and lots for children to see and do. There is a 'glis-glis trail' which provides hands-on fun for all and there are special family activity days every Sunday in August.
Amersham Museum is part of a Tudor hall house which is over 500 years old and has displays on local history, people and places and an extensive selection of photos of Amersham as it was. There is also a delightful herb garden and wheelchair access to the ground floor and the garden terrace.
We are open from Easter Saturday to the end of October on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday afternoons from 14:00 - 16:30.
In addition from May to September the museum is also open on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
